Revolutionary Girl Utena 30 Day Challenge ● Day 01

Favorite female character and why?

Utena Tenjou! It’s rare when I really, really adore the “lead” character of any given series, but I very much love Utena. There’s something very sweet and geniune about her, even if she isn’t even nearly as much of the prince that she thinks she is. But it’s this desire to be a prince, to be this good person who can inspire goodness in other people, that’s what makes her so awesome. She experiences so much character growth from the first episode to the last; it’s wonderful. And I love that she really is a revolutionary girl, in that she inspires the other characters to change. It’s just lovely and so is she.

So to further prove my point, I just watched the endings side by side for comparison. 
They are basically the same thing. In fact, if you think about it, almost the entire episode somewhat correlates with the concept of sacrificing yourself for a loved one.
This is just what stuck out the most to me.
